The parent company to Aerojet Fine Chemicals increased revenue by more than 100 percent in its fiscal 2006 year ended Sept. 30, the company announced Wednesday.
American Pacific Corp. (Nasdaq: APFC), which bought AFC from Rancho Cordova-based Gencorp Inc. in November 2005 for almost $140 million, reported a 109 percent increase in revenue to $141.9 million.
AFC still operates on the Aerojet campus, and its financial results were included in American Pacific's earnings reports. The fine chemicals company reported $74 million in revenue for fiscal 2006, and $24 million in the fourth quarter.
Las Vegas-based American Pacific attributed the revenue increase over 2005 to increased demand for AFC core products.
